We at Beach City Driving Schools believe that teaching our students about road safety is a top priority.
In support of the Strategic Highway Safety Plan (SHSP) and to significantly reduce fatal or
serious injury traffic accidents, the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) encourages all new drivers to learn about safety. Additionally, we also provided some information you might find useful.
Do not hesitate to reach out to your Driving Instructor for additional information.
pedestrian Safety
The problem of pedestrians being killed or seriously injured on California roadways is bad and growing worse. More people are walking to work, school, and shopping or just for fun, exercise, and being outside. Walking is becoming increasingly dangerous in an era where we are promoting walking as a healthy, positive, and community-building alternative to driving. The Office of Traffic Safety, together with our partners at the State Transportation Agency, Caltrans, CHP, DMV, and concerned organizations and advocates across the state, wants to bring awareness to the California public about the dangers pedestrians face so that injuries and fatalities can be reduced on roadways.
